1. Inlet/Outlet Diameter: In principle, the inlet/outlet diameter of the filter should not be smaller than the inlet diameter of the matching pump, and is generally consistent with the inlet pipe diameter.
2. Nominal Pressure: Determine the filter's pressure rating based on the highest possible pressure in the filtration pipeline.
3. Mesh Size Selection: Primarily consider the particle size of the impurities to be intercepted, determined according to the process requirements of the media flow. Refer to the table "Filter Mesh Specifications" below for the particle sizes that various mesh sizes can intercept.
4. Filter Material: The filter material is generally selected to be the same as the material of the connected process piping. For different service conditions, cast iron, carbon steel, low alloy steel, or stainless steel filters can be considered.
5. Filter Pressure Loss Calculation: For water filters, under typical calculated rated flow rates, the pressure loss is 0.52–1.2 kPa.
